Title: Audiomagus SubLine to drive DeepHemp?
Post by: dudesinmexico on 5 Feb 2008, 08:13 am
I purchased from Louis a pair of Compact Hemps about one year ago and now I am considering to add a Deep Hemp
to my system. My source Slimdevices Squeezebox 3 and amplification is provided by a Tripath based Charlize amp,
so I was wondering if anyone with a similar setup has tried this device to drive the Deep Hemp:

Any other ideas that will not hurt the wallet?

If you read here -

Vinnie Rossie explains that you shouldn't need the gadget with the Deep Hemp.

If you have any reservations or choose another makers sub, check out the Hornshoppe Circle for Ed's Magic Cable.

Lovely set up :green:

Jim is correct!  You can connect the speaker outputs of any tripath-based amp directly to to the speaker-level inputs of the Omega DeepHemp or DeepHemp Cube.

Vinnie,

thanks a lot for your explanation. One last question: does the Deep Hemp amplifier have inputs for both the the L and R channels?
If not, I guess I still need some kind of mixer. So, from what I understand, I can simply connect the Compact Hemp and the Deep Hemp in
parallel for each channel, right?

dudesinmexico,

Yes, it has both Left and Right Speaker Level Inputs and RCA (line-level) inputs.

Yes, you can connect your Compact Hemps and Deep Hemp in Parallel.

Best regards,

Vinnie

Hi all:
I have my primary speaker cables run from the RWA Sig30.2 to my Omega XLS, then speaker line jumpers down to the dual Deephemp Cubes (I have the XLS sitting atop the Cubes, with a cork barrier between them). Louis already had the plate amp jumpers in place, so I just had a couple of cable connections to make - very clean and easy.

Many thanks for the great posts and it's true that all the all the t amps can be connected via speaker level inputs on all the Deephemps.

Thanks again,
Louis
