*This is a non-denominational offering for peace and reconciliation presented in the beautiful sanctuary of Myers Park United Methodist Church. *This event is free to the public. No tickets required.
*The Armed Man was written by Karl Jenkins in 1999. The music chronicles the brutality and tragedy of war, but ends hopeful for peace. It incorporates text from historical and religious sources including the Bible, the Islamic call to prayer and the writings of Kipling and Tennyson.
*The choir is 70 members strong and will be accompanied by a full orchestra with pipe organ.
