For me, it certainly was worth it, since it's not that expensive and provides a noticeable improvement...at least in some systems. (It also looks and feels expensive.) I believe that Alex provides a 30-day return policy, so you really have nothing to lose. My brother-in-law also bought one on my recommendation and he loves it. We both found that it brings a better bass response and better imaging. It also seems like it provides more current flow, resulting in a more powerful presentation.
