Hey all! I have two (semi-) vintage DCM TimeFrame series speakers but with changes made, room to keep only one pair. I've listened to both but have yet to decide if the more open high end of the 600's is more important than the solid mid-range and better bottom end of the TF 1000. I know that this is a personal choice really, but I would find it valuable and very interesting to hear opinions of anyone willing to share--especially but not exclusively if you've had the chance to hear both models. Thanks!!

With a simple Google search, the TF 1000 would seem to be the obvious keeper. Even your comment on a more solid midrange and better bottom end would be to be the clincher. In regard to the TF 1000, perhaps try to coax a bit more high frequency refinement with cabling or even a Schiit Loki. In the end however, you've posed a question only your ear can determine.

There are very old electrolytics in both crossovers. I'd change those out before I made any permanent decisions. The 600s are all over the place but the 1000s are quite rare.

Good advice. That alone may solve his high frequency issues :thumb:
