...on the Pulsar 9's being awarded Best Looking speaker at last weekend's Atlanta DIY event!  Those red babies do look beautiful.  I think the unique base probably had a good bit to do with the award.

Thanks guys!  I had several people gushing about how much they liked the looks of the speakers.  Being a cabinet maker first and foremost, this meant quite a bit to me.

Also, I had several people mention they like the sound too.  I'm sure there's room for improvement, but the novice designer in me really appreciated the fact that some were also pleased with the sound.

Brian, how much did the "red" color influence the compliments you received?  Did people express interest in having red speakers in their homes?  The only request for red I've received was from my 4 year-old grandson.  BTW, did you get the photos okay?  I've moved up to a 4mp camera, so I should be able to take higher res photos now.

I think the red finish had some impact because several people asked me specifically about it.  They also liked the fact that they could feel the texture of the wood.  So there is some hope in this world!  Some people do prefer wood to plastic or vinyl covered enclosures. :D
