Title: Please help me "get" the acronyms
Post by: serlvz on 9 Apr 2022, 08:11 am
I have never heard a Von Schweikert speaker. I have heard of them, and knew that they were well considered, but really, I knew nothing about them. I'm starting to change that and I really like what I'm learning. To the point of putting them on my radar as far as my next speaker. Maybe. Trying to gain knowledge and have been reading a bunch, on them

Some of the acronyms throw me a bit, though. I try to discern what they mean in the various articles and reviews I read, but it is not all that apparent.
I understand the simple ones, like Mk I, II or III. They're kind of obvious.
The ones I need help with are HSE, or SR, or whatever others that are out there. Is there some kind of a hierarchy? Is an SR better than a non-SR? Where does that fit in with an HSE? Are there others I need to be aware of that I just haven't stumbled into yet?

Thanks,
Scott
