Happy Fourth of July Everyone!  :thumb:

Back in 1986 I bought my first CD player, a Denon CDP 1500 for $550 which was a lot of money back then to me at least. After walking out of the stereo shop I went next door to a record store to buy 2 new discs, one rock; Talking Heads, True Stories & one jazz disc; John Scofield, Blue Matter to hear what a CD player sounded like for the first time. Both albums were just released in '86. Needless to say I was blown away by the sound of these CD's.

I found a mint condition Blue Matter on vinyl the other day, not that there was anything wrong with the CD, but I always wanted this on vinyl just the same.

First listen

John Scofield  ~  Blue Matter

Guitar - John Scofield
Guitar – Hiram Bullock (tracks: A1, B2, B3)
Keyboards – Mitchell Forman
Bass – Gary Grainger
Percussion – Don Alias
Drums – Dennis Chambers
