Happy Buy? I'm a Happy Guy!
« on: 9 Feb 2022, 01:11 am »
A company on Amazon sells this sonic cleaner for around $230.

I'm amazed!

I took an old Tchaikovsky that was totally unlistenable, and turned it into what sounds like a new record.

I was on the fence with these things. Especially at $1000+.

But it really works.

Buy it!

What brand did you purchase? Do you like it?

I bought the same unit from Amazon and added a cleaner vinyl unit to it to spin the record. I now use a spin clean first and then the ultrasonic. The spin clean really removes the heavy grime.

Finally.  Those of us that have made our own units have been shaking our heads at the multi thousand dollar units.  At <$250  there is no reason to DIY anymore.
But one thing is certain, ultra sonic is the very best way to clean your records.  Just be aware that they are VERY loud, but in ranges above human hearing.  It is very possible that can cause hearing damage if you don't wear earmuffs when using them.

A unit meant to enhance your listening pleasure actually damages your hearing. Oh the irony!
