Battery hook up - Please help
« on: 24 Oct 2011, 07:12 am »
Hi good folks of Virtue,

I have acquired a battery kit but have no idea how it is to be connected to the battery. or how the charger is to be connected.

Can anyone post a photo or diagram of how the SLA battery kit is wired up - all the way to the charger.

By the way, does the Virtue One.2 have a soft start circuit?
If that is the case, does it mean I can use the one/off button if I am using SLA battery?

Thanks in advance.

ONE.2 is soft-start protected.  You're good-to-go.

JT - can you help with battery connections?

If you have a Dodd battery kit then the hookup is quite easy.
There is a plug for the charger at the battery's and a plug for the amp wire at the batteries.
It does not matter which one you use for either they both go to the same source.
It is impossible to hook it up wrong because of the way the plugs are designed.
simply plug the male plugs into the female plugs, plug the charger into the wall, and lastly the barrel power plug into your amp.
Turn on your amp and your ready to roll.
If your battery kit sat around for a while you may need to let them charge for about 6 hours before playing music.

No, not the Dodd.  It is what Virtue sells, with the Soneil charger and all the wires.  I bought it from COEM of Australia.
