Its a nice amp for sure.....congrats!!
I agree about chasing the NOS tubes...the prices of these tubes has gone crazy and its a very subjective area full of opinions and emotion.....
I have built and own several tube amps, and have learned that the circuit design and layout is far more important in the "sound" and performance of a tube amp....
The tubes in some amps are picked by the "knowledgeable / intelligent " designer for their performance in regards to their circuit design goals.
More often than not its not the actual tube brand/type that really makes real world detectable audible differences, iMO.
How the tube is biased, its linearity, feedback, gain, circuit coupling etc...
Many people selling tubes are taking advantage of the NOS craze and smiling alot!!
