Rest In Peace Max Townshend
« on: 2 Jan 2022, 11:41 pm »
An audio luminary/innovator as well as an entertaining, funny and all around great guy Max Townshend of Townshend Audio passed away Dec. 31 at the age of 78. His development and innovation in turntable, tone arm and decoupling/isolation product technology to name just a few were exceptional contributions to audio. I have Townshend Seismic Isolation Podiums under my VSA VR-5 Annies. They are, in my opinion, the best isolation/decoupling product I’ve used (out of many) to this point. My condolences go out to his wife Sue, 3 daughters and grandchild. Rest in peace Max, you will be missed.

Been enjoying my Rock 3 turntable since the late 90's, longest I've owned any piece of gear.  Max was a great designer of audio gear.  RIP!
