I thought I read recently John DeVore was using a WTA modified to play 78 RPM records.  I believe he was using it to audition his new Orangutan speakers...if true, is this mod available commercially?

Hi...you read correctly.  Mr Firebaugh made a new flywheel to whirl for 78's.  Whether it's available commercially or not you'll have to contact Mike Pranka at Toffco.

Hi Old Grey,
I did some checking, and it is not a commercial product.  The motor was modified as well....I guess it shows it can be done.  John Devore did use it at the show--his buddy Jonathan Halpern of Tone Imports plays some delightful 78's I'm told.
I always thought I'd like to try getting into 78's....maybe pick up a used Thorens was my idea....of course, one could always get Halpern's wonderful Shindo Garrard table...
