Audible Illusions Mini Mite I
« on: 19 Aug 2003, 06:07 pm »
I forgot that I had this preamp.  I found it cleaning out a big closet that was way past time for going through. I purchased this preamp in the late 70's early 80's. It still looks great.

I emailed Audible Illusions over a week ago to find out what kind of tubes it uses.  All of the markings are gone. I haven't heard from them yet.

Does any one know what kind of tubes the Mini Mite I uses?  It takes two and they look the same to me.

Thanks for your help,

Randall

i have their 2 series preamp and it uses 6dj8's.  you can sub some 6922's.  the paper work for the preamp said not to use russian tubes with their product.  as i remember the mini used the same???  as for them not replying to your email.  i have never had any luck getting any help from them in the 10 years plus of asking.  contact the dealer you got it from?

still i love the sound of their gear.
