It works, but it's in kinda rough shape. Actually while it plays well, the mechanism won't turn 'nor well it let me know if it's getting signal in Record mode. The pots and switches are dirty, too. I guess for the price, I can't go wrong even in its current condition considering what ebay prices are on the thing. I may just use it to eventually transfer some old cassettes to cdr's anyway..
Anyone have any particular info on the nak580? Would it really be worth fixing the Record function to possibly sell later? I mean.. I don't plan on recording any new cassettes..
I hooked it up to my main system and the disadvangates of the medium were apparent. Having said that, I don't think I've ever heard a cassette that's been left in a car too long sound any better than that..
