A few questions on the WTL reference?

Well it looks as though I'm buying a WTL Reference deck (circa 2002) and I'm very happy with that!  It will be paired with a Dynovector XX2. Now... a few questions.
is the Reference so much better than say.. The Simplex? 
Is it possible to get an aftermarket arm lift? 
also a lid would be handy. Bear in mind I'm in Ireland so shipping a lid from a land far far away might be tricky and costly.

Thanks for the reply, yeah pretty much, until I get the TT here and can measure I'm not sure which brand will work. There's a few out there... I was just wondering if anyone here had tried one. Thanks again.
