Jim, when you come to Minnesota is is possible that you could bring a set of HT1 speakers along so I could get a listen to them?  There are lots of people who just cannot afford HT3s and I sure would like to point them in the right direction for less expensive high quality speakers.

Sure, I think that would be possible.  I wish I could also bring some Veracity QW's.  They are incredible 2-ways in a quarter-wave tube version of a transimission line.  They are 80" tall, folded in half internally and the bottom end is a bit more extended.  But, unfortunately, I doubt I will have any available at that time.

I don't know how fast you want to resolve your dilemma, but I will be traveling to Minneapolis at the end of May.  A band I was in in the late '60's (an indication of my age) is being inducted into the Midwest Rock Hall of Fame and the ceremonies are in the Twin Cities area (Medina Ballroom).

Are you talking about the same Rock Hall I'm thinking of?

I thought they always held the ceremonies in NYC at the Waldorf?

I've also never heard it called the "Midwest" Rock Hall... it's just the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Or is there another one somewhere?

It's also kind of interesting because there's a town called Medina near Cleveland in Ohio. I don't know if there's a ballroom there or not, although I haven't heard of one.

Seems kind of weird, since Cleveland and Nashville already have this pretty well covered. I guess there's not much to do when you're snowed in in MN, so they need a local Hall of Fame. hehe

I never really thought of MN being a big place for Country-Western Music either. I thought you guys had more sense than that. <g,d, & r>

While this is off-topic, I know very little about the Midwest Rock and Country Hall of Fame except that I received a call that a band I was in was being inducted.  I guess it is a Midwest thing (from the name) not related to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.  I lived in that area for 10 years so I am very familair with both the Rock Hall and Medina, OH.  

And the band in question was not the one in the photo.  That was the first band I was in when I was in high school.

It's all old history now, but it should be fun to see the guys I used to spend so much time with.  We were on the road almost every day (only three days off each summer).  So you can imagine that traveling with a small group that much, we have quite a few stories to re-live.  Should be fun.
