I spoke with Louis yesterday.  He recently got his new batch of drivers in and my Super Alnico High Output tower speakers are finished.

The are on the Federal Express truck now for delivery on Monday.  I'm feeling like a youngster on Christmas Eve, waiting for Santa to arrive.  I'll post some pictures later.

You will love them. They are remarkable with both power and clarity.

Give the Alnico drivers a good 100 hours before they really start sounding good and probably 200 hours before they knock your socks off...

Thanks Dave and Rob.  I still have to settle final positioning of the speakers after they are broken in and also have to re-position some of my room treatments.  I prefer having my source equipment and preamp off to the side of the room, not in between the speakers.  The speakers image so much better.

I was bitten by the Omega bug several years ago when I purchased a used pair of Revolution's (with alnico drivers) from Zybar (George).  Next I picked up a used Decware Zen SET amplifier, modified for 8 ohm speakers.  After a bit of tube rolling, it was all over for me - except for upgrading along the Omega and Decware pathway!

I actually got the Level 2 real wood veneers with the Super Alnico High Output tower speakers.  Bird's Eye Maple on the front and rear panels with Cherry on the sides, top, and bottom.  I really like the two-tone effect in my listening room.  Also, the cherry will match up with the bases on my Decware Mystery Amp and CSP3 Preamp which are on order.

About 25 hours of break in on my Super Alnico HO speakers now.  They are beginning to open up a bit and already sound amazing.  I was not prepared for the truly excellent, tight bass response from the two 6.5 inch drivers. Holy guacamole!

Given the bass I'm hearing out of my Super HO 3-1.5's, I'm not surprised at all at the reported bass response.

When my Super 3XRS 1.5's broke the 100 hr mark the bottom end went so low I had to lower the low pass on my sub. With that  move the mid range blossomed.   Soon you'll get to break in a new amp and pre.  The never ending story.
