Would a Jitter-Fixer Help?
« on: 8 Jan 2016, 11:54 pm »
Hi All,

I'm streaming FLAC music files from NAS wirelessly (Plex Media Server) to a ChromeCast Audio which is connected via Toslink to the IDA-16. Control is via android tablet running BubbleUPnP.

I've read that Toslink outputs can induce jitter, which degrades sound quality.

Just wondering if anyone has tried something like a Wyred 4 Sound Remedy on the IDA-16 digital inputs or if that is not necessary due to the design?

Thanks

I've been using a Schiit Wyrd to input into my IDA-8 and haven't noticed any particular change.

My preference is coax over optical since optical involves two conversion steps.
