Looks like that same procedure for any of the newer arms as well (the Amadeus)

My thoughts exactly. This is not how I set mine up. Single twist only!

The kiwis are below the equatorial line-hence the double twist to balance out the hemispheres...

lol. Joking aside either the kiwi method or the single twist set up has got to be wrong.

It would be good to confirm as you say folks. The people I know this side of the pond with WT's all say single twist...

Mind you take a look at this from the website

That looks like a double twist to me…… Mind you I guess at the end of the day we should just try it and see how it effects the sound...

That looks like a single twist to me when I blow it up. Loathe to do anything to my Versalex/LTD my XV1s sounds great with one twist.

My table was set up by my dealer before I bought it, and he did the single twist.

Today I couldn't leave well enough alone and went double twist. I'm not sure it's a feasible way to go. With single twist, when I rotate the ring to adjust azimuth, the arm moves nice and smoothly back and forth. With double twist, the junction where the strings overlap moves with the ring. IOW, since there's a double twist the strings can't pass each other easily, so the arm moves hard to one side and then jerks as the strings release. And once I moved the ring/azimuth, I couldn't really get it back straight again.

Needless to say I'm back to single twist.

To twist or not two twists! I am having problems with too much bias and I am wondering if two twists would help this issue. I am going to start a new thread as I need guidance.......... The other factor that must come into effect is clockwise or anticlockwise whilst holding the cart and viewing the paddle up the arm.

No need for another thread as the moderators have moved my "setting up a classic" to the well tempered group of contributors. I must admit I do like that pulley system for the later arm, I keep telling myself I have the E type jaguar of TT's because it's a swine to keep control of whilst having too much fun, a slightly sloppy backside but  it's so beautiful to look at. Why ever would I want an XJS or XJR?
