Well, after meeting Klaus and listening to his setup and talking to him, I made the plunge and ordered a set of the Stratos Monoblock Extremes at the RMAF.  Can't wait to receive them.     Thanks for listening to all my questions and being a great help Klaus.  What a great guy.  The amps will be mated with a set of Salk HT3's.   Ought to sound really great.  Only problem, - waiting 4-5 weeks to get them.

Hey Klaus, how much extra $$ for a rush job?

Just kidding, look forward to receiving the amps.

Steve
Hey Steve:
I did the smart thing - I ordered my Extremes a month before the Fest.
I received the nite before I flew to Denver!!
I didn't even have time to hook them up - so imagine how I felt.
However, listening to them I Klaus' room was a revelation.
When I came home I hooked them up before I unpacked my bag.
Wait till you hear these puppies!! To all those that say that all amps sound
the same, please visit me in Toronto and I will watch your jaws drop:
Impressions - out of the freaking Box!!!:
1: Powerful
2: Focused soundstage
3: As musical as I could imagine
4: Sweet!!
5: Generate absolutely no heat - that surprised me.
Anyways, you will be impressed!!

Spirit, thanks for the feedback.  I had read about the Extremes before but had never heard them.  After talking with Klaus and hearing them person, they were one of the few set ups that made me want to dance to the music.  I almost backed out of purchasing them due to their size and that they are monoblocks(2) because I had been looking for a stereo amp, but after a few listening sessions I was sold.   Can' wait to get them in.

don't make my mistake! Buy some good heavy duty amp stands right off the bat. The amps have a serious foot print, and are 75lb. a piece. After all you wouldn't want to put a great amp on a KMart amp stand!
