Was just going to order a DVD from Amazon.de until I got to the shipping charges. They wanted 15 Euros to ship it to the US  That's equal to the disc itself! Amazon France & UK aren't anywhere near as bad when I've ordered from them.
So does anyone know of any other place to order German discs from that's not going to charge so damn much for shipping?
-
Ha, I was going to suggest amazon.at but it redirects to amazon.de anyway :-(
-
Where/what would amazon.at be? I don't recognize the .at.
Tried looking at Laserexchange as they occasionally have German imports, but no luck on the disc I was looking for.
-
.at is austria. It's listed on the amazon site somewhere.
'Fraid I'm not much help :-(
-
HI Bubba, At stands for Austria.
How about:
www.bol.de
www.shopping-hit.de/musik.dvd7.htm
Just a quick check on google but I understand your German isn't too good.
-
Thanks Ferdi. I'll have to check those out.
But my German is worse than not so good. It's non-existant. But I can get around at amazon as all of their sites are the same and it's just a matter or remembering where the right buttons are.

Let me know if you need more help. May be able to get some more suggestions from German friends.
-
Bubba, I'm just curious: Why would you want to order German DVDs if your German is "non-existant"? Could it be because Germans are first class at making "Kriminalserien" ("Der Alte" springs to mind - I grew up with those...) but they seldom come with English subtitles or English audiotrack, I presume, but I might be wrong here?

True, most German discs have neither English subs or soundtracks. But it does occasionally happen where they get something that's not available here. Or in the case of the disc I was looking at isn't even out in the theaters yet.
