Mini Build with my Granddaughter

So Danny helped me work out a xover issue I created.

I have a health issue that decided to get angry, add in the xover issue, and we have a delay in the build.

As promised, more pics of the build. I assembled one cabinet to work out any kinks since I have not done anything like this in awhile so the second cabinet would go smoothly, and it did. Notice in the last pic her hammin it up.

Unclamping of one box, and sanding of the same box today. Not pictured clamping top and bottom of second cabinet. Boxes are done and almost ready to finish. WooHoo!

I did the final sanding and primer prepping today so when I see my Granddaughter next, we can get right to priming. We still need to go pick a base coat for her to create her master piece upon. I did a round over on all the edges and she likes it a lot. She was present for the routing of the second box. I did one alone again to work out any bugs first. I found nice anti skid footers at Ace so these guys will stay in place.

Yep, he's on deck. We'll see what his interests are and go from there I guess. Like most little boys, he likes toy cars and trucks and running around being silly, and eating.

We sanded the first coat of primer this morning and applied a second coat which will be lightly sanded before the finish coats. No pics this morning cuz Pompa(me), was being a lazy butt.

Thanks Hobbs. She is excited to get on to decorating the boxes. Looks like we have a little rain forecast today, so we will have to move inside for the second finish coat. She is enjoying the process, and now the part she has been waiting for most is almost here.

I can see the ads now. "My grandkids love drywall finishing with Easy Sand".

Update now that I've stopped laughing. Light sanding, second finish coat. Tomorrow we will start the decorating.

My Granddaughter has been busy the last couple of days so we have not had a chance to decorate the boxes yet. I got antsy and populated the boxes and hooked em up for some burn in time.

Listening while puttering so far with a just a couple minutes after hook up of listening more to make sure they both sounded the same and I didn't goof again.

Those couple of tracks sounded pretty good considering they had been playing only a few minutes. I think the upper end and midrange is already a bit better than the Kef Q350 I have. The lower end is a little off right now, but not horrible, but that is to be expected this early on. It is being powered by an Aiyima A07 currently with an iphone 6s connected with a mini aux cable as the source.
