Not mine, I quoted @DDark65's post.  I like his diffuser fireplace cover.

They seem to be more like room dividers than speakers.

Talk about your wall of sound. Impressive.
How do you get them in the room?

Easy. With the backplates not installed, they are not very heavy. Two people, one on each end can easily carry them through any standard door and up stairs. There are good handholds on the bottom end, and I place a ratchet strap around the top to provide same.

Indeed , it is impressive. The sound stage is wide and deep, with precise placement of instruments. The room is fairly large (20wx24dx10'h) so the panels need significant size to activate all the air in the room. The result is magnificent with great realism.

Here are smaller panels (Sound Lab Ultimate 545) in my city (San Francisco) system in a much smaller room. Not quite as impressive, but still delightful.

AC members who wish to experience the grandeur for themselves are welcome to come visit. PM me.  In July, Sound Lab will be exhibiting their Majestic 645 at the upcoming California Audio Show in Oakland. (https://www.caaudioshow.com/) I will be there.

Me too. Wish I had thought about that when my listening room had a similar layout.

Seeing those reminds me of when I first purchased my MMGs many years ago.
Once they broke in I could not have been happier.
Still have them in operation!

Mervyn's DIY Electrostatic Speakers:

As you may know; I have a website dedicated to DIY electrostatic speakers and I often receive requests for drawings of my (3) speaker designs.  I've only actually built two of my designs but my online friend Mervyn just built the third.

I'm sure that most people take one look at my drawings and cringe at the work involved, and that's as far as they get.  But every now and then someone surprises me and actually builds one.  Such is the case with Mervyn and his speakers shown above, which I believe are the only pair in existence.

I named the  design the 'Eros Clone' because it’s compact transmission line woofer system is patterned after Roger Sanders'  Eros speaker.
I'm sure you will be as impressed as I am with Mervyn's work.  On the rear view photo, note that the cover is removed from the pocket that houses the segmentation resistor network (Mervyn's modification, and very neatly done)

Enjoy!

My first pair of Maggie's and I don't see them leaving this room anytime soon. They ARE keepers!

That's some awesome looking wall of sound!  I don't recognize those speakers... what are they?
