New member here, orchestral musician-turned audiophile.

Currently fascinated with a Lenco L75/S that I recently acquired. Trying to get it to sound as good as I can in stock form, but ultimately I would like to build a heavy plinth that could carry a better arm on the plinth, not on the top plate/chassis (the original Jelco S-arm will be used for mono and 78 cartridges).

Hoping to meet some of you with better woodworking skills thatn myself, to hopefully get some pointers.

But what a great table! Such speed stability, and wow and flutter ranging from 0.03-0.05%! My Mission 775S with Rega RB300 arm and Denon DL-300 into a K and K SUT still sounds better, but I am hoping the modded Lenco will become my main table.

Long live vinyl!

I can relate to your tread title ;^)

I call it the Independent Republic of Vancouver Island (which includes AB, SK, MB, parts of WA & OR).

The only Lencos i had were used to clean records.

Where are you?

Sounds like a plan. I started a biodiesel coop back in 2006, with former-Highlands mayor Karel Roessingh. Know him?
