Hi, I've joined to circle(s) primarily to tap into and share information regarding turntables, cartridges and anything else analog.
FWIW I've dabbled in this fro 40 years and currently have the time and inclination to make some changes and tweeks to my
system. Most notably a new phono stage is on the near horizon.

I have the same Well Tempered Turntable & Tonearm: large square motor, plastic shroud on AC cable, large clamp. I'd describe the platter as opaque, not exactly clear. Have a Grado 8MZ in my old cartridge box. Van den Hul Grasshopper currently mounted.  Assembled a good enough stereo 25 years ago. Minimal changes since except consumables--tubes & cartridges. Still look at audio porn most days.
