Title: Dick's Song3-A in chenchen with dark walnut dye
Post by: jsalk on 6 Aug 2018, 08:45 pm
Dick wanted a pair of Song3-A's with a dark brown finish and dramatic grain.

We had just finished a few pairs of speakers using Chen Chen veneer with some very nice grain patterns.  I suggested using that veneer, but dyeing it dark walnut.

Here are the results...

Happy listening Dick!

Whoa, those are seriously sharp! I think they might be my personal favorites thus far!
Outstanding!

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy Jim's project picture posts.  I was seriously considering going in a direction like this and these are beautiful.

The book matching on these is truly striking.  Very nice work!

Once again, art melds with science.  I really need to hit the road to see and hear these things.  :D
