Hello!
Not sure what is up with the spam link kindly posted by our new friend zhxia. Guess there is a first for everything.....
Sent by mail to travisty but pasted here for more info.
Hello!
Glad that you found some. MU MK2 was not likely - I just can not seem to find time to wrap it up.......
1:5 with the pioneer 2.5mv sensitivity won't be too far off gain wise likely.
Pop the top and gently pull up the cap to get at wiring.
For 1:5 you will see wires 2&3 connected and 4&5 connected and 6&7 connected. 1 goes to the input hot and 8 to the input ground.
For 1:10 connect wires 2&3. Connect wires 6&7. Connect wires 1&4. connect wires 5&8. 1/5 go to input hot and 4/8 go to input ground.
For 1:20 connect wires 1&3&5&7. Connect wires 2&4&6&8. the 1/3/5/7 group goes to input hot and the 2/4/6/8/ group to input ground.
The old info was html online so no doc to send but good info is here:
http://www.stevens-billington.co.uk/page103.htmIf using 1:10 then the load pack paper slips show net load the cart sees (along with resistor value).
If using 1:20 then the cart sees 1/4 of those loads listed. At 1:20 often the natural loading (no extra resistor) is not too far off what many carts like to see.
No likely you will stay 1:5 - you'll need more gain at least for the zyx and likely for the Trumpet anyway. Still for a quick play it should be fun.
Thansk!
John
