DDA-100 availability
« on: 22 Jun 2014, 05:47 am »
I can't find a DDA-100 for sale online anywhere in the US. Everywhere listed on Nuforce's website is out of stock. Does anyone know if this is due to demand, or has production stopped? I also wonder if we're likely to see a successor to the DDA-100 soon.

I am receiving information now on the DDA-120 ($699 suggested retail)

It will be similar to the DDA-100, but will have the following:

1) L&R analog inputs
2) Bluetooth input
3) Async USB
4) Suggested better sound quality

I have not been informed as to if it is a replacement to the DDA-100, or an addition to the line.

I will post as more info is available

Will it be possible to upgrade an existing DDA-100 to 120 specs at a reasonable price, or possibly trade up without taking a big hit ?

I was under the assumption that NuForce would keep newly introduced products in production for a few years and offer upgrades. I guess we'll have to see if the DDA-100 is indeed discontinued.

I have sent your questions on, and at this point there is no reasonable way to "upgrade" a DDA-100 due to the extensive difference in circuitry.

You can get part of it by simply adding the BTR-100 ($69)

Also at that price point the logistics of trade ins would seem to be difficult.
