I was wondering the same thing, I have really enjoyed seeing his work.

I was wondering if Serenity was still doing business and persuing any new designs, or still making the Super 7?

Hey fellas!

Been "restructuring" and getting myself in a better place in work and life in general. Things are GOOD!!!

I decided to step away from Serenity for now and will be back to my old shenanigans again. :green:

I'll be posting some finished sub enclosures later this evening if I can get some good pics together.

What's up dude!

The pics I took last night came out very "grainy". They are built the exact same way as my original servo sub design, but instead of high gloss piano black I used a matte black. They're better suited for HT usage as you won't get the screen reflections if using them up front.

Ruben

I'm sure you remember the originals.

Thanks Bladesmith. It's a combination of black leatherette and 2 stage urethane.

Hi Jay,

Man, your post count has grown a lot! :thumb:

I'm in the planning stages of a custom job consisting of (6) servo subs right now. (4) single twelves and (2) dual eights. All piano black. I'll post some good pics when they're ready.

Best,

Ruben

Are the dual eights sealed?  If so - what are the dimensions? - Thanks - Really glad to see you posting again!

Ruben,

Beautiful as usual. How do you attach leatherette, glued liker veneer, padded and stapled like upholstery or what?

Hi Rick!

Yep, they're sealed. Internal volume is 0.7 cu ft. They are going to be used as stands and will be built to match the footprint of the mains.

Hi Mike!

It's applied using an upholstery adhesive. The subs are not padded, but the leatherette has a nice soft touch to it.

Ruben,

Thanks. So do the front and rear baffle overlap the edges and seal against the leatherette using it like a gasket or is that an optical illusion?

Hi Mike,

That's an optical illusion. I'll post a close-up picture later this evening.

Ruben

So that is 0.35 cu. ft. per driver, 0.7 cu. ft. for the 2 drivers - correct? Are they opposed? If so I'm very interested.
