Hi.
At under $3k for the set it is IMO the best bargain in audio.

For cheap jack like me who doesn't want to drop a 3-grand bundle for an attenuator, I believe there must be other more cost-effective ways of doing the same job.

DIY version is only around $300 or so, minus batteries, harness, and Ctek charger.

For those who cannot DIY or do not have the time to or the interest, then the RM-10/LDR (Lightspeed or Warpspeed) bundle could be a nice starting point to building a system. Add an appropriate set of speakers and a source and for under $7500.00 you can have a very nice system. Given what people are inclined to pay for cables these days I would say that is a pretty good deal.

may i add that a RM10 matted with a pair of Merlin TSM's would put many to shame!

How about "The basics of tube output transformer design and construction."  OPT are one of the least understood aspects of the audio art, and you are one of the masters of that specialty.
Thanks!

I would say to stick with the flow of the preamp.  I have very little concept of coupling seperate stages; output impedences into input impedences and other concepts of 'proper' coupling are Greek to me.  So your discussion of how the first stage you've outlined will couple and interact with the next stage would be pertinent, IMO.

I took a look at this URL and there is a lot there. Can you provide a link to the specific information about ouput transformers?
