Title: question on how the riggers work
Post by: audiotom on 19 Jun 2015, 03:56 pm
Lou

I probably could have just asked you this directly but thought I would get a few answers based on various floor treatments

I have my Ulysses V2s.  The 3 inch maple bases and the riggers
the floor is berber carpet on slab

I have placed the speakers optimally but never really played around with the riggers
the speakers are touching the carpet lightly and appear level

Should I be raising the speaker off the ground to isolate or couple it?

any other nuances?

thanks

Tom

hi Tom,

Excellent timing, I have been working on isolation under the spikes of the outriggers this week.

So far the solution I have is making a major improvement, I will get more info and pics up in the next couple of weeks.

At this time my testing has been at the shop/showroom which is carpet on slab.  With the isolation I am making, it has more bass and more definition & detail as well as improved imaging. :thumb:

more info soon

thanks,
lou
