Hey All,

I'm the nut case who ordered a passive unit for a Home Theater system ( http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=50970.0 ). I mean who in their right mind would even consider 3 volume pots and no remote for a HT system. Anyway, is there anybody out there using their TVC w/a Solid State Amp and how do you like the sound?

I am currently using a TVC with an Exposure SS amp. This amp is so sensitive that all the preamps I have or have had had too much gain and overloaded the driver stages of the amp.
The TVC is a good fit...but late night listening will not allow more then one or two clicks before it gets too loud.
Great separation and wide soundstage and micro details are the sonic rewards.

With my Pro TVC I'm using a Red Wine Audio 30.2 with great results. No grungy AC poluting the sound for one thing.

I'm using a Reference C-Core TVC to drive two Spectron Musician III SE in balanced mono-block configuration.  The sound is truly astonishing.  No hard edge whatsoever.  The tonal balanced is very neutral.  Soundstage articulation and definition is simply world-class.  Bass is taught, deep with lots of detail. The midrange is quite neutral, leaning just a tad towards sounding warm.  The highs are extremely clean.  I rarely pass the 12 o'clock mark on the volume nob.

I plan on using the TVC w/ a 3-channel B&K amp, the specs seem to be an okay fit. We'll see.
