I like the Modded ART Dac. Although I do not have the oppurtunity to listen to as many DAC's as those here. Did have to make some changes to get it to get more space though and I shall be applying a test to see how well it does when using my transport going through a Digital Recievers Dac and the ART going through it's analog connection.

Is senstitive to change like the Wall Wart. Trying many combo's can help in finding the correct presentation. Hell it's better than the internal DAC to my CDP IMO.

I have the SN Tubedac+ and I have tried using 3 different tubes. The sound changes a great deal and my favorite now is a Tesla tube because of the clear midrange and sparkling highs. Bass not as good as another tube I tried but its still ok.

I view the fact that you can tweak the sound to your liking by trying different tubes as a huge plus, cheap and lot's of fun.
