A small full ranger to supplement B200 treble?
« on: 2 May 2007, 01:06 am »
Has anyone tried this approach to supplement B200 treble response? I realise that most of the small full rangers are less sensitive, down round 89dB at best. I guess it would be necessary to L-pad the large full ranger somehow? I'm unsure as to how one would go about this, but isn't the notch filter a means of reducing the B200 sensitivity to around 89dB?

I have a pair of the CSS FR125s and they would seem to be a good means of doing this. When I run them both together, there does seem to be a lift in the treble. Haven't messed around much yet as I have only just received the FR125s.

Would someone like to comment on their experiences trying this, and why it should or should not work, theoretically?

Cheers
