Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+ expands on the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin after the tragic battle between them. At the beginning, the twins Luke and Leia are 10 years old and Obi-Wan is a broken man tormented by the thought he killed Anakin. Quietly watching over Luke on Tatooine, Obi-Wan is reluctantly pulled away to save Leia from the Galactic Empire's Grand Inquisitors, who are exterminating the remaining Jedis.



Ewan McGregor reprises his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Vivien Lyra Blair as Leia Organa is privileged and snotty just like the grown up Leia.




Obi-Wan Kenobi is made with the same perfection and adherence to the Star Wars canon as in the previous films, the series is closer to a 6 hour movie than a TV series. Because Disney owns the Star Wars license it is able to use all the Star Wars sound effects, soundtrack and flashback sequences using clips from previous films. Kathleen Kennedy, current president of Lucasfilm, is an Executive Producer. All 6 episodes are directed by Deborah Chow, who also directed the first season of The Mandalorian.

83% Critic Score on RT. Star Wars fans give it a lower score but they haven't liked any Star Wars film since "Return of the Jedi" in 1983.
