Title: DVA A2D

This looks like a really neat piece of equipment.

What is the ‘level’ control on the front used for if this is an analog to digital converter?

I use the attenuator control to roughly level match converted analog signals sent to the digital preamp, with unconverted digital signals sent to the digital preamp. There is a signal overload led indicator to pay attention to when attenuating those converted analog signals. All of those analog signals first go to my analog preamp, before being sent to the A2D. Hope this is a clear enough explanation.

I found this in the specs:

Maximum input before clipping: 1.4 Vzero-to-peak. Larger signals can be attenuated via the front panel LEVEL control.
