I hope some of the experts can help me with this treatment puzzler.
I used to have a drawing of the listening area but I can't find it tonight.
Full disclosrue: 3 years ago I corrsponded with Bryan about this problem and he presented his ideas to me
by email. I had to put the treatment project on hold (read: economy) and unfortunately I have lost the entire email thread! I am so upset!
Anyways - here goes:
2 channel listening.
Very unusual room setting - I am in my basement which is a very large area.
7 foot ceiling.
Sweet spot surroundings:
Wall behind my head - 3 feet back
Wall to the left of my head - 5 feet to the left.
NO WALL to the right - right wall is at least 15 feet to the right.
I definitely hear ringing in the upper frequencies which I assume means that I need some kind of absorption behind me.
It is the left wall that really has me stumped: absorb or diffuse?
Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.
