Neither of the two songs have anything special to offer IMO. Of the two, Ozzy's song structure was the better of the two.

  I hate it when a band butchers their own song. Deep Purple- You Fool No One is a good example. The Made in Europe version IMO is the best and a favorite of mine. All the other versions that I could find and listened too, butcher it. There are many other songs that I can't think of at the moment that have butchered their own songs. :(

Nothing beats the original, that's for sure, but the best cover songs are done, by artists that play totally opposite genre.

Then there's The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel, later re-done by Disturbed. I can really appreciate both renditions. The Disturbed version has a lot more dynamics since it is a recent recording and it also has much more, let's say, personality and angst injected into the song. The original is still very good with the great harmony, but I am leaning toward the Disturbed cover because they build the song and make it so much more interesting.

It all depends on if the cover artist has added they own take or signature to the cover and if they have made a good job of it.

There's a few bands I know of doing covers that are pretty fun. One of the better ones was Me First And The Gimmie Gimmies. They do punk rock covers of all sorts of songs. Each album has a different theme of songs to keep things fun. For some reason, punk rock caters to doing covers, and other bands covering punk rock songs.

These are some really tough calls for me. There are plenty of others.
