There is a set of Super Tower III's for sale on Ebay. These are the older pre ribbion version but I bet they still sound fantastic. Starting bid of $7,500 with pickup in the LA area.
I have nothing to do with this auction, just thought it was cool to see a set on there. No one gives these babies up, the original owner died.

STIII's on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160249488045&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:US:1123)
These are in pretty darn good condition and I believe these are some of the later iteration of the STIII's. Great sounding speakers and actually sound very refined and controlled ( I had the earlier STIII's for awhile and now they are at a friends house). No doubt the newer models are better but these are pretty awesome in their own right. :D
ps. I would like to hear these with 10 channels of amplification and two of the DCX:drool:!!!

The part that puzzles me  , if I have my information correct, the starting bid for 15? year old speakers is higher than original retail?

Yeah, I also think the starting bid is quite excessive.
