Toronto AudioFest is on this year
« on: 28 Sep 2021, 01:51 am »
Glad to see the event is happening this year.  Oct 22-24.

James, according to info on the AudioFest site, Bryston has the room next to the main bathrooms.  I hope that's just good marketing at work here, and not a bladder problem.

Well we are all getting older. :D

Folks I am not sure about this as I have been told all will have to wear a mask even if you have been double vaccinated and that means the exhibitors would have to have a mask on continuously during the show.

Also not sure how many people will attend with a mask mandate as well as social distancing?

Nothing currently as we have been overwhelmed with just trying to produce and get parts for our current products given the lockdown and the world-wide parts shortages.

Looks like Bryston is not attending the Audiofest this year - unless I'm mistaken.  Was disappointed, as was really looking forward to this event after a break.  Hopefully the attendance is still good - as would love to keep these events going forward..

Hi Folks,

Correct we are not attending this year.

Covid rules are we have to wear a mask at all times and practice social distancing - not conducive to an audio show in my opinion.

Also I am responsible for the safety and well being of my co-workers and can not ask them to participate under these conditions.

And if you are considering going to this event from the US there are so many restrictions in place to travel over the border and then back into the US. We used to attend this event every year it was on but in these times will have to skip it.

Hi James:

Will Bryston be exhibiting at the 2022 Toronto AudioFest this coming weekend?

In the pre-covid years, I really enjoyed the Bryston room and speaking you, Brian and Chris at the shows around the GTA.

@Highendfool I don't understand your post which quotes a post from 2021.

I was asking about 2022 not 2021.

Ontario protocols have changed since this time last year.

James, you guys were missed at AudioFest today. I overheard people talking in the halls about where Bryston and Axiom were.

There were less exhibitors and antendees than the last show I attended before covid, but still a lot of fun.

My favourite new product at the show was the NAD C 3050LE.

Anyone else?

Yeah, retro and modern.  Can't think of another product the has both VU meters and Dirac room correction.

Sorry about that! I missed the correct quote from this year.
Regardless, Bryston’s absence will be missed.
