I like the Mogami Gold which is used in the majority of recording studios. I also like Mapleshade a lot. Both are good value without crazy $$$ and very transparent.

I would also HIGHLY recommend trying the Mapleshade wall outlet to plug your gear into.

Ditto on the Mogami IC's.  I use them on my TT.

Try these: http://audioenvy.com/product/home-car-pro-interconnects/nv-4s-pr-rca/

I just swapped out two sets of cables worth a little over 2k for these and I am blown away. They are effortless, clear, and fast. I have a pair of Quicksilver Mid Monos and an LTA Microzotl preamp.

They are returnable if you don't like them.

Chris, are these particular (Studio - Prestige) cables available in XLR format?

Are you using their speaker cables and power cables as well? Any Feedback you would care to share?

Thanks,
Dave

This is what you want: http://audioenvy.com/product/monitor/onestian-matched-pair/

I bought a complete loom, interconnects, speaker cable, and power cords. My system sounds so much more open, clear, and fast, not harsh, I just can't believe it. Not that what I had was bad, not at all. When I replaced two pair of interconnects and heard the difference, I ordered a replacement for every cable I had.

The Grover Huffman Pharaoh interconnects are the best I have tried. I've had the Teo Audio GameChanger Jnr and Cardas Clear.

Headphones cables most be balanced, the sound quality is much better than the one (-) pole banana plug.

An audiophile suggestion:

Their "back story" was an interesting read, and I really like their RCA connector design.
Usually, IME, cables that utilize low-mass, low-capacitance design tend to sound fast, airy, smooth but often not warm and dense.  How's that aspect of these Audio Envy cables?

I wouldn't call them warm and dense. However, I don't find them cool and thin. Of all the ICs I've tried/made, including some in the four figure range, these allowed the essence of each piece of gear upstream to flow unimpeded.

Hey!

Those look very good, especially for the price I must say. Look like a simple no nonsense cable.

A cheaper option than that would be to DIY. I actually built all the cables in my system myself... well, except the phono cable for my SME 3009 II improved tone arm. Funny how I ended up with a low capacitance cables that sounds similar to description of the one shown in the link with 6N OCC copper litz conductors 26ga if I remembered correctly, adhesive teflon tape and Eichmanna Bullet RCA plugs. These work and sound great in my all tubed system with SET amps. I got tired of paying so much money for cables.

Anyway, to A_shah... don't go crazy over this and look for seller with full refund return policy so you get to try them in your own system.

One minor problem is no price range from the op.
As far as suggestions, each poster is going to off his or her own fav cable.
So I an NOT going to suggest any cable in particular. Just lend my bias to well known major market cable makers.
Audio Quest
Cardas
Kimber
And if you buy used... be aware a LOT of fake cables out there.

I have two copper/silver cables very well made by HifiMan site, both are inexpensive and good looking.

Hi, I would recommend trying the Schroeder method, which is using a T or Y splitter to allow two sets of interconnects. You can buy a cheap pair of splitters on Ebay and if you hear a difference, get better quality splitters (I'm using some older Monster solid brass).
This is if you have two pair of ANY type of IC's. I used what I have on hand and the difference in sound quality is huge. I know it sounds nuts, but it works and doesn't cost much to implement. You can google Doug Schroeder method for more info....
