Truly special speakers both in sound and in looks. Better overall than my previous Heritage Specials and I think better than JA Pulsars too.

My friend Scott has the walnut pair. Last I checked he was digging them as well.

This is a site to watch -  https://www.hifishark.com/search?q=salk    One can filter by region (e.g. North America) and also look at those speakers for sale as well as those sold.

I haven't listened to my set in awhile. They're at a very close friend's house and I don't get to go over there often. I currently have at set of HT1-TL in the main listening room.

I had to organize the collection since my daughter moved back home with a black Labrador puppy. 3 pairs of Salk’s remained outside of storage.

Nice match on your set.

I got blessed with this perfect match I didn’t even try. The cabinet was my late Grandmother’s

There is a fourth pair now, made by Larry in Tucson. He made his out of solid wood, with a front facing port, and an external crossover. He is fine tuning them, the last I heard, and he says they sound a lot like mine.

I will be listening to Larry's Purifi speakers this Saturday afternoon. The design is based on the Troels Gravesen Purifi-Be. The speaker has a port instead of the passive radiators.

No offense but there is still only 3 pairs of Bepure1 monitors.

No offense taken, I agree, not a Salk speaker.

There has been a number of similar designs done in the DIY community, and I am happy to see that progressing developing high performance monitor/mini monitor speakers. Also, Purifi's reference designs. I'm excited anticipating improvements to the design in the future.

I’m curious as well to see how well it works with that size port. I hope someone tests them to see the frequency response and the F3

I posted a review of the Troels Gravesen Purifi-Be
https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=190915.msg1997728#new

We didn't do any in-room measurements with the subs off. If felt like the Purifi-Be rolled off at 50 Hz.

Looking at the graphs on Troels' website it looks like the port on both the Purifi-Be and the similar Purifi-6R (ribbon tweeter) is tuned to 38 Hz.

Troels measured the Purifi driver on actual baffle with no crossover and it starts rolling off naturally at 100 Hz but the response is very flat above that.
