Sir Colin Davis - RIP

I got to see him a number of times as he was a regular here in Boston.  I understand the orchestra was very fond of him too.  Unusual since musicians usually hate conductors.   I'm sure he's hobnobbing with the Greats up there now.

He might have been the best at conducting Sibelius. His Berlioz is hard to beat, also.

Supposedly a real class guy.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Sad news for the Classical music. One of my fave conductors for Mozart.
