Please, someone here will enjoy this receiver. PM me for a price I hate to see it just sit in my rack.
Sitting in your rack is much better than most of the alternatives. Don't let it go too cheap, you'll regret it in the future.
You'll probably regret it regardless of the price, but hey.....

Bob,

I'm fortunate to have acquired it from the original owner, have continued to keep it in fantastic condition, and have enjoyed it thoroughly. It's getting to be time for me to turn loose of much of the vintage gear that I've acquired over the years so that someone new can enjoy it and carry on the tradition.

Craig

P.S. you're probably right I will end up regretting it.  :duh:

Ahh, I understand. I've love to be owner #3, but it's not in the cards. Good luck finding the new home!

DAC and two cartridges
I have a Schiit Modi 2 Uber DAC that I no longer need.  It was used via Toslink to connect a TV to a stereo setup.  Shockingly good sounding.  The DAC sold new for $150.  I am selling with a Dayton Audio 3 foot glass Toslink cable for $60

If you need a coax for this or some other DAC, I have a 2m DH Labs D-750 for $120.

Or a 2m Supra for $50.

Also sellling an AT VS225EP P-mount cartridge.  Looks perfect.  $50

Last a Shure RM950ED with broken cantilever, $30.

I have an unopened set of cartridge leads for $10.

Thanks for checking out my ad.  Kent Johnson 636-399-8053

We’ll, the 2270 has a new home, and I couldn’t be happier that it went to a good home. Someone will enjoy it from here and that’s really what this hobby is all about. Sharing with others and keeping the classics from ending up in the landfill.  :green:

I have decided to go ahead and exit analog.

Selling:

Clear Audio Performance DC with Maestro cart.  Both in good condition and will not separate.  $2,500.00.  Local sale only, I do have original box and included items.  The turntable also will include record clamp.  The adjustments were all last tweaked by Mike Pranka.

Selling as package with table or after table sells.

I have about  700 LP's, assorted genres and dedicated stand with wheels, stand purchased from Music Direct.  $2000.00 for it all.  Bulk Is variety of Rock.

I have RP, my vision has diminished to where I can't read my LP sleeves any more.  So streaming is what I do mostly and as bad as I hate to sell my stuff I hate to see my table just collecting dust.

Conrad Johnson Classic 62 - 1 Year Old - $3800 obo SOLD
« Reply #648 on: 27 Mar 2022, 06:23 pm »
Still with just under 2 years left on its warranty, this is an excellent amp with the usual luxurious sound of Conrad Johnson (Made in the USA). NOTE  that this is NOT the SE version, (which would have cost an additional $1500).

Honestly I'm baffled that this hasn't sold as this is a serious hifi amp and the price is fantastic.  $5200 new, it's priced at about 70% of its value and at one year old for a CJ amp, this thing is essentially new, in "as new" shape and will last for decades.  Not a mark on it.  It's boxed and ready for immediate shipment.

I have two, and selling this one to finance a new pair of speakers.

60 WPC EL 34 power tubes.  Sounds lush yet detailed with a terrific sound stage.  Here's the link to it on CJ:

FOR SALE:  Schiit Bifrost 2 DAC -- silver case, about one year old, with remote, original box, and in excellent condition.  This is one of their muiltibit DACs.  These sell for $700 new and I'm offering this for $575.  Prefer local sale but will ship domestically. Paypal or cash accepted.

Schiit BiFrost 2 DAC

If you purchase this dac directly from Schiit, you will also pay shipping, $19.56, and Missouri tax, $69.97, for a total of $788.53.  It is possible the shipping has also  increased since I bought mine in February.

SOLD Classe Audio 15 Amplifier ($1200) (SOLD) and SOLD Classe Audio 6 MK II Preamp with phono ($1500). I would much prefer to sell locally and will entertain offers.

The preamp has an excellent MM/MC phono pre and separate power supply. Extremely well built with quality components they were offered with a Lifetime Warranty when purchased new.  The Classe Audio 6 Mk II preamp was well reviewed by Stereophile.

Contact Dave at mill01@charter.net or 314-452-1313. BOTH AMP AND PREAMP HAVE BEEN SOLD

Updated Hafler DH500 In Need of a New Home
« Reply #653 on: 4 Jun 2022, 02:10 pm »
Anyone interested in an updated Hafler DH500? This amp was completely rebuilt and upgraded two years ago with Qua-Co PC-1 driver boards. Other work performed includes:

*Upgraded Power Supply w/New Nippon 24,000uF 100V Filter Capacitors, New Higher Current 35A Rectifier, New Disc Capacitor & New 1 Ohm 20A Inrush Limiter
*Installed Gold RCAs and Binding Posts
*Installed Heavy Duty Modular Power Socket
*Cleaned MOSFET Sockets, Applied New Paste to all MOSFET's upon Reinstallation
*Installed New MICA Insulators
*Installed Two New Fan Speed Thermal Sensors (55 & 60 deg. C)
*Pulled and Tested Both Thermal Breakers (70 deg. C)
*Installed MOSFET Bypass Caps on backs of the MOSFET Sockets
*Cleaned, Lubed and Balanced Fan Assembly
*Installed New PS Caps, 35A Rectifier Block and Disc Capacitor
*Installed New 12-gauge Solid Copper Star Ground between Caps
*Adjusted the Bias and DC Offsets

The amp sounds great and I'm only selling because it's way too much for my LS50s.  I'll entertain offers in the $ 700.00 range. I have over $ 1,200.00 invested and to have the same upgrades done will cost you almost $ 1,000.00 without the amp and will take months to complete.  You're welcome to come by and listen.  Call Steve and leave a message at 404-202-2958.

Not sure if anyone is interested but on Facebook, some local guy is selling a pair of GR Research X series speakers for $315 clams. Pretty cheap way to try a new pair of floor standers. Here is the link.

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/596009718381531

I'd get them but lest thing I need is another pair of speakers.

If somebody grabs them, let us know how they sound  :thumb:

Dang, I almost jumped on those but upon closer inspection it looks like those are a 1-off DIY project that happens to use GR research drivers,  not a true GR research designed speaker. In the build gallery the builder talks about modifying former Wharfedale cabinets for this project https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?action=gallery;area=browse;album=980

It also turns out they're a bit big for my space

I thought that the builder might have been Ryan Scott of Vapor Audio. If so, I'd bet they sound pretty good. His early builds/mods sounded nice. His production pieces are stunningly good.

Ahh ok if you’re vouching for him I’ll definitely take your word for it. In any case, it looks like someone bought them now.
