Well I'll be darned...
They actually work rather well !! yippee !!

I had to do a bit of L-pad tweaking, as expected, but they actually sound rather good. The Kef b139 TL section does very solid, melodic bass, the top end ribbon provides great extension, and the mid and mid/tweet seem to be doing their required job rather well.
Sounds very coherent for a "what if" speaker with half "here, take these" drivers and an experimental cross-over.

.......later......

The Vifa C13 is working just a tad harder than expected.... going to raise the low x-o point to about 275Hz.
I have to order some decent foil electro bipolars first though.

Certainly worth tarting the cabinets (raw mdf) up at some stage !!

Crickey, did I say that those Kef B139s have got some kick in a TL !!!

DOH !  My error.   Last night I created a page, and moved those images to another section. I should have left them in both places for a while....sorry

Some very complex woodwork in there!

Do you design your own Xovers?

SET Man

Hey!

Andy, excellent woodworking man!  :D I wish I could make cabs like those. My DIY main speaker look crappy, but good thing that they sound great.

Your "Windswept" is my favorite. Hmmm.... I wish I could make something like that for Fullrange Fostex.

Very  nice I wish I could listen to them.

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

If you only knew how I fudged things on the woodwork  :icon_lol:

and yep, I do most of my own x-os, using simple "series", which to me sound "nicer".. Collection of info on my web site

Yes, lovely boxes Andy ... they look like a pair of cupped hands around the equipment rack in the middle ... nice flowing lines. Actually my squarer boxes look like yours ... after more than too many wines!
