What is the swirl on RCA inputs?
« on: 27 Dec 2022, 08:52 pm »
Unboxed my Kismet in Khartago last night to find unusual RCA connects.
At 1st I thought they were defective. Looks like the "gold" finish is partialy peeled off, but both connects look the same. A symetical "swirl" with  gray in between.
Does anyone know about these?
I didnt want to bother Klaus right away about it if anyone here knows.

Those are low mass WBT RCA connectors most likely.  Do they look like these?

Yes, the link Tyson posted are the ones and yes got the high end WBT speaker connects too. I almost feel like I should twist while pushing on male plug ends, but happy to know they are high quality connects.
The amp is Kismet in Khartago. Symphonic Line caps too.
Santa Klaus came through, lol. Im sure he gets many jokes this time of year.

Im letting amp burn in with a spare preamp, cd player, & speakers 24/7 in my office for awhile before putting it my main system.
Eliminate some baby hickups during actual listening time  :)
