Title: iTube2 - Power on while in preamp mode?
Post by: JDUBS on 27 Aug 2018, 02:44 am
Question on the iTube2.  I am currently using it in a bi-amp setup as a buffer, connected only to the amp used to power the midrange / tweeter (coaxial) driver.  I want to use the iTube2 in preamp mode, with a gain level adjusted for by using its volume knob....but, I'd like this setting to "stay".  I.e., the iTube2 is turned off by rotating the volume knob until it "clicks" off....but that means the gain setting is "lost".  Can I just plug the iTube2 into a power strip that has its own power switch....leave the iTube2 always turned on (and at the correct volume setting)...but turn if on / off with the power strip?

Thanks,
Jim

I don't see why not. And less wear and tear on the iTube2 to boot.
