Found some locally.  Just wondering if they are worth buying or have they passed their best before date?  I have a pair of minitower 2's.  Are the RM! a step up or down?  Thanks

If you're after bass response, probably go after the Mini Towers.  But, me personally, for better midrange performance, I'd opt for the RM-1's.  That 8" Neo panel is a great driver.  Well worth the investment.

I'm with Stimpy, having had the RM1's and others, that mid panel is the magic of the RM series. One thing to check is the surround on the downfiring passive. I got good bass response from mine.
