Why two binding post cutouts?
« on: 6 May 2003, 04:08 pm »
Judging from my own sub and what I've seen in pictures of other VMPS speakers, I can't help but be confused as to why there are two cutouts in the back of the cabinets instead of one!  Clearly there is plenty of room on that wooden panel for two or more pairs of binding posts.  I don't understand why they aren't mounted on the same panel, it would save cutting a 2nd hole.  Consider my brow furrowed...

The passive crossover has two sets of binding posts.  In subs that use two Pxo's two cutouts are necessary.  We block one cutout if only one set of xovers or binding posts is used.

So those panels are where the crossovers are mounted?  That makes sense then.  Thanks Brian!
