Tom Fletcher of Nottingham Audio has passed...

From Kevin Carter on his forum:

The designer and founder of Nottingham Analogue Studio, the British turntable manufacturer, died on Monday after a 3 year struggle with colon cancer. I have owned two of his turntables over the past 15 years and on one of his U.S. trips he stopped by here to visit, so his passing has personal meaning. He was characteristically dry of humor and clear of explanation and had an abiding love of New Orleans jazz. Those lucky enough to join his Monday night listening group in Nottingham heard jazz played on his audio system, some of which he recorded himself.

When he was diagnosed with cancer he passed his business on to others, but when his cancer went into remission he got back to work and designed another line of turntables under the name "Fletcher Audio", which you can view at http://www.fletcheraudio.co.uk/. They will continue to exist in the hands of the Danish manufacturer (+45 60 45 28 90).
